Mr. & Mrs. Sielaff

Weddings

The once bright sun now hid behind the early evening clouds. It was much darker than usual for 5 o’clock, the type of darkness that covers everything just before the rain. The bridal party rested in the bridal suite right behind the courtyard in which we stood. Rain began to slowly drop from the heavy clouds. Ben held his new bride, Kate, with one hand and an umbrella in the other. The newlyweds stood close as the rain began to gently surround them.

For the amount of rain falling, the moment was terribly perfect. The day had been perfect, too! Kate and Ben were surrounded throughout the day by their closest friends, most of whom happened to also be family. They were married in the same church in which many of Kate’s siblings have been married, and the Mass was presided over by her Godfather, Fr. Tran. Kate got ready in her childhood home, while Ben wasn’t too far away at her brother’s house. We experienced a hot, sunny morning and a dark, rainy afternoon; it’s almost like God sent all his weather to celebrate with the happy couple for some time! Even the drizzles that began to surround us all in the courtyard lasted for just a few minutes before holding off until the real downpour which came after we were safely in the reception building. There were mementos from loved ones no longer with us on earth, and an outpouring of love from those here. Throughout the day, you couldn’t help but notice how much family means to these two, and coming from such wonderful families, we expect that their family will be one filled with love, understanding, joy, and faith.

Kate and Ben, we enjoyed every moment of photographing your wedding. With the amount of joy shared by all, we know that you have all of the support you need moving forward! You have wonderful examples of marriage to look up to in your parents and grandparents, as well as in your siblings. You all get to walk this path together now and learn from and support one another. It was such a blessing to witness you all together throughout the day! It’s so clear that the Lord wrote your love story, and we are excited to see what comes next. We are praying for you! Please come and hang out soon!

Love,

Amy and Kyle
