Mr. and Mrs. Pantoja

Weddings

The back of The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception was cool from the building shading the sun. Although the front of the church was busy with the arrival of guests, there was nobody standing around the back except for Kyle and Franke, who were waiting for Amy and Emma. As the girls walked along the silent path, all stood still. We helped Emma to the place where she would be standing and helped Franke find her hand. Then it was finally their time. Their first touch; a chance to speak and pray before their Nuptial Mass began.

Franke took out his rosary and had a rosary ready for Emma, too. He led her through the prayers, one at a time, until they had finished a decade. Then Emma read a letter to him in response to the letter she had read from him that morning. She opened up and shared the thoughts on her mind, following Franke’s example and wanting to reciprocate his gift. This moment of their first touch pointed to the dynamics of their marriage, with Franke leading and Emma freely following. Isn’t the point of marriage to lead one another to Heaven?

Emma and Franke, your wedding day was so joyful, and so fun! To have your marriage start that way, you’re surely in for a great life together. A great joy of marriage is getting to encourage your spouse as you walk through this life together, sharing both highs and lows. Seeing how you approached your wedding day, you already know this! We’re so excited to see how God continues to strengthen your love for one another and for Him. You’ll be in our prayers!

Love,

Amy and Kyle
