Pinchot State Park was looking beautiful at sunset. The lake glistened like a dream as the wispy clouds diffused the sun overhead. The trees were just starting to put forth the first buds of spring, and the air smelled so fresh. We arrived well-rested and eager to shoot Emily and Brock’s engagement session. In deciding to take on fewer couples for 2022, we hadn’t shot a session since Grace and Thomas’s wedding in January.
As we met Emily and Brock for the first time, we were reminded instantly of why we love shooting weddings: Emily and Brock are young, playful, and such a joy to be around. There is nothing like spending time with couples who are about to be married; the expectation and elation are contagious, and we dive right into that excitement with them. Emily and Brock have been dating since they met while at a Steubenville Conference, where they learned that they were neighbors. They’re getting married at a young age and will God-willing be able to enjoy a long, joyful life together.
Emily and Brock, it made us so happy to be able to capture your love for one another in your engagement photos. We look at these photos and think of how joyful and carefree we felt spending time with you, and we’re betting that the people whom you love get to experience this same gift in your presence. On your wedding day, we will photograph the start of your marriage, where all of the joy and preparation that has gone into your time of dating and engagement will come to fruition in the sacrament. We are so excited to celebrate with you and will be praying for you during this final stretch!
