We’ve said this before, and we’ll say it again: one of the best perks of this job is meeting incredible, faithful couples and their families. Dom and Tim are an incredible, faithful couple, and their families are much the same. Since we mainly interact with the bride and groom leading up to their wedding day, we usually meet their families for the first time on the day of the wedding. People experience a wide range of emotions on wedding mornings—some more anxious and hyper, others more easy-going and laid back. We’re never sure what we’ll be walking into! Dom and Tim come from two of the most lovely and welcoming families we’ve ever had the pleasure of serving!
Spending the day around their families and friends, it’s easy to see how well they’ve both been prepared for the sacrament of matrimony. They’ve had deep faith and virtue modeled for them and they’ve had their parents’ holy marriages to look at and learn from. Each family rejoiced for their child for having found such a wonderful spouse. Both families joyfully gained a new family member! In a world such as ours, families and situations such as this are increasingly rare. To see their families and experience their love and faith throughout the day inspired us greatly. We’ve seen firsthand how a good example helps us to live out our own call to holiness by modeling how to live well in this imperfect world: to apologize, think of someone else’s needs, be supportive and encouraging, and always bring everything to God in prayer.
Dom and Tim, congratulations on your new marriage! Turn to the example set by your family and friends and learn from them. You are equipped in a wonderful way, but that doesn’t mean your marriage will be without struggle and hardship. Remember that Jesus promised to give you a cross to carry. Carry it together! Let those around you model how it is to be carried. We are excited to see how God blesses you both; rejoice in your new, holy family! We will continue to pray for you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you on your wedding day!
Love,
Amy and Kyle
