Like all things, our business has changed a lot over the years. We’re always considering the needs of our family, jobs, and other responsibilities and assessing how much we can devote to each thing while still striving for excellence. We haven’t taken on many new clients this year—since we both have other commitments that need our time and attention—but we continue to keep the door open because there are definitely couples whom we still feel called to serve. This was the case with Alma and Thomas!
At the start of our business, we felt called to reverently cover Catholic weddings. We took on as many clients as we could, and even considered transitioning to full-time photography. With the passing of time, that call shifted and we realized we couldn’t be everyone’s photographer. We started to feel called to serve Catholics in our community. Thomas and Amy are from the same hometown, Alma was raised in the same community where we live now, and we happen to be close with Alma’s sister and her family. In short, Alma and Thomas are our people. We would likely cross paths even if we weren’t photographers. As members of the Church in our area, they are our local family; they are part of our village. Photography has always been about so much more than the pictures for us. It’s an intimate role and responsibility to be at a couple’s side throughout their wedding day, and we’re so happy we get to be with Alma and Thomas for theirs.
Alma and Thomas, thank you for trusting us to photograph these important memories for you and your families. We are excited to be with you on your wedding day, but also beyond. Marriage will bless you, but it will also bless our community. Since we already know some of your family and friends, we can better sense the magnitude of the impact your marriage will have, and we’re excited to celebrate it! We are praying for you!
In Christ,
Amy and Kyle
