Madison sat in a chair by the window while Camilla, her best friend and matron-of-honor, set to work curling Madison’s hair. As Madison watched herself transform into a bride, the nerves started to kick in. She reached for her rosary beads and began to pray, but she found that she was too nervous to concentrate and pray on her own. Without hesitation, she knew exactly whom to call to her side: Rachel, her soon-to-be sister-in-law.
The women sat together and prayed their way through all of the beads with smiles on their faces. In her time of nerves, Madison automatically went to prayer and to family. These priorities, which we started to see at their engagement session, came to light once again on their wedding day. For Stewart, he requested photos of only one thing in the morning: his praying of the rosary. He wanted photos of him with his rosary to remember this important part of his wedding morning.
When it was time for Madison to open her gift from Stewart, she received a beautiful white rosary that matched Stewart’s in style, though his is black. From Madison, Stewart received a jacket clip with saint medals from the various shrines and churches they have visited together. Through their turning to prayer and gift choices, we see Madison and Stewart’s priority: faith is at the center of their relationship, and as such, their relationship is built on solid ground.
Madison and Stewart, your wedding day was incredibly beautiful, peaceful, joyful, and so much more! You two live in simplicity, beauty, and truth, and we can’t make that reality any more beautiful in words than it is when people witness your lives. Everyone at your wedding likely left motivated and inspired to live their lives like you. Thank you for letting us participate in the celebration of your wedding day! We will continue to pray for you.
Love,
Amy and Kyle
